Edgewood Summit
Edgewood Summit, Inc. is a West Virginia non-profit corporation organized in 1990
for the sole purpose of developing, owning and operating the Edgewood Summit senior
living community located in Charleston, West Virginia. Edgewood Summit, Inc. is
a subsidiary of ABH, Inc., which is also a non-profit corporation. The mission of
Edgewood Summit is to provide an attractive, caring, comfortable and affordable
senior living community. Edgewood Summit is governed by a volunteer board of directors
and day to day management services are provided by Greystone Communities, a qualified
professional management company.
The Edgewood Summit senior living community was constructed on a 37 acre tract adjacent
to Cato Park and located within the city limits of Charleston. The location offers
attractive mountain vistas, wooded areas, and an overall aesthetically pleasing
environment. The community opened Phase I in the spring of 1995 offering 90 Independent
Living apartments and 40 Assisted Living apartments. Phase II of Edgewood Summit
opened in January 2001 adding an additional 37 Independent Living apartments.
Edgewood Summit offers a variety of services to its residents which include: weekly
housekeeping, daily meals, transportation, total maintenance of apartment, utilities,
24-hour emergency assistance, daily activities and wellness programs. A variety
of affordable one and two bedroom apartments are offered in Independent Living.
Edgewood Summit is known for its secure environment, quality service and friendly
atmosphere.
