Director of Nursing
Edgewood Summit, a premier retirement community in Charleston, WV, is seeking a Director of Nursing for the 20-bed nursing home and 18-bed memory support facility, the newest addition to our 13-acre campus which will open in late summer of 2013. Our community embraces a culture of hospitality and person-centered care and the Director of Nursing must embrace that culture. Edgewood Summit currently provides services to residents in independent living and assisted living with a positive team approach. The newest addition will complete our continuum of care.

The Director of Nursing is responsible for the overall nursing services in accordance with all applicable rules and regulations to promote the highest degree of quality care to our residents. The Director of Nursing will assist in pre-opening activities including developing policies, procedures, hiring and training of staff and preparing for successful licensure and Medicare certification. Assisting residents and their families with the transition to new services and expectations is included in the responsibilities.

The ideal candidate must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in West Virginia and possess a minimum of three years’ experience in long term care/nursing homes and in previous management experience. A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and prior experience as a Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing in a nursing home is preferred.

Memory Care Coordinator , April 25, 2013-May 31, 2013

Memory Care Coordinator The Memory Care Coordinator is responsible for evaluating the assisted living needs of Memory Care residents, assisting with the development of programs to meet those needs, teaching self-help techniques to ensure that the medical, social, and emotional needs and the general welfare of residents is met, and supervising department staff. In addition, the Memory Care Coordinator is responsible for the overall supervision of nursing care and services including overseeing the accurate and timely administration of medications, treatments, and documentation. Participates in the decision-making process regarding resident admissions to the Memory Care Unit.

The Ridgemont is seeking a part time Personal Care Assistant .  You will enjoy providing assistance to our senior residents in our home like atmosphere. Certification not required but caregiving experience preferred.  Must have a positive attitude, good attendance, able to meet job description.
