Edgewood Summit is a full-service continuing care retirement community.
Our mission is to provide an attractive, caring, comfortable and affordable senior living community for older adults in Charleston, WV, and the Kanawha Valley region. It’s a mission we’ve fulfilled since 1995.
1995: Phase I — Edgewood Summit opens, offering 90 independent living apartments and 40 assisted living apartments.
2001: Phase II — Our community grows as we add an additional 37 independent living apartments.
2013: Phase III — The Arthur B. Hodges Center opens, providing memory support, skilled nursing and rehabilitation services. Named for the benefactor of the Phase III project, these new levels of care make Edgewood Summit a true continuing care retirement community (CCRC).
Our community is set on 37 acres adjacent to Cato Park, within the city limits of Charleston, WV.
