COVID-19 Update | June 21, 2022

Happy first day of Summer! It has come to our attention by the Kanawha Charleston Health Department today that they are requiring two weeks of negative testing before they can stop monitoring COVID outbreaks. This unfortunately means that Edgewood Summit Independent Living residents and staff members will need to test another week. We apologize for the inconvenience.

On Wednesday, June 22nd Independent Living will still resume small group activities and dining will resume breakfast and lunch while dinner will remain delivery for just a bit longer. Virtual activities and delivery for meals will continue at no extra delivery charge through the end of the month of June.

The Salon is now open and will resume services with social distancing and masks required.

If you have tested positive for COVID within the past 90 days, you do not have to test. Caregivers and Family members do not have to test.

Testing is by Floor and Wing on Thursday; June 23th in the Multipurpose Room as follows.  If you can’t come at the scheduled time, then come when you can in the overall time frame.

A Wing                 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

B Wing                 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

D Wing                 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Employees            1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Masks are mandatory in all public areas of the Community for everyone regardless of vaccination status.

Thank you for your continued patience and cooperation.
