COVID-19 Update | October 5, 2020

Edgewood Summit began testing all Residents and Employees at the Arthur B. Hodges Center (Hodges Center) twice per week as part of the outbreak protocol after one Employee in the Memory Support Unit tested positive.  On Saturday, October 3, 2020 our laboratory reported three Residents in the Memory Support Unit have tested positive for COVID-19.  The Residents are resting comfortably and are experiencing mild or no symptoms at this time and have been isolated from the other Residents.  Our Employees are continuing to provide good care to all of our Residents while practicing safety and aggressive procedures to defend against COVID-19.  We are forever grateful to our Employees who are putting Residents’ welfare first.  We truly have “Angels” among us.  Our Resident’s Families are counting on us and we accept their faith and trust and are doing our absolute best.

We remain hopeful that tests this week and next week will reveal no further cases.  Our goal remains to keep everyone safe and to communicate with transparency to all.  Updates will continue to be provided as more information becomes available. Thank you for your continued support.
