Red Phase COVID-19 Update

Edgewood Summit continues to monitor and communicate with numerous City, State and Federal officials on our Covid-19 situation. As a result of today’s news of Kanawha County moving from orange to red on the state’s COVID-19 metric map, Edgewood Summit will be making some necessary changes until our county can move into a safer color phase.

It is important to remember that Edgewood Summit has moved to these new guidelines as a result of local Community spread, not because of a positive case among a staff member or resident.

We remain vigilant with our restrictions and screening in place and “essential -only” visitation at this time. There will be no communal dining.  All meals will be served in resident apartments. The café will be by delivery only.  Transportation services will be limited to only essential medical appointments. Beauty and Barber services will be suspended as well as small group activities. Therapy services will continue, but will take place in individual resident apartments. The Fitness Center will remain open by appointment only.

We thank you for your continued patience and support as we work to keep our Community safe. We will continue to update you with additional information as it becomes available. Thank you.
