Feeling healthy and content is the starting point for participating in – and truly enjoying – activities large and small. So it’s no surprise we put your wellness at the center of the lifestyle.

Our holistic approach to health and wellness addresses your full self:

  • Physical — Join an exercise class or try laughter yoga – hey, why shouldn’t fitness be a hoot? Or simply step outside. Beautiful walking paths meander around our campus.
  • Spiritual — Volunteerism, devotional services, support groups – you’ll find plenty of opportunity for inner contentment.
  • Intellectual — Join a book club, attend a guest speaker’s lecture. There are countless ways to keep learning and growing.
  • Social — One of the greatest benefits of our lifestyle comes from the friendships formed among residents. Whether it’s spontaneous conversation with a neighbor or one of our lively parties, our social life keeps residents connected.

Food for the body, food for thought.

Dining at Edgewood Summit plays a delicious role in improving wellness. Not only are food options varied and nutritious, meals can be socially and intellectually stimulating parts of the day.

An ounce of prevention.

Whether it’s the sniffles or something more, our on-site clinic is a convenient resource for preventive care. Available to all residents, the clinic is led by Dr. R. Thomas Bowden, M.D. and staffed with a nurse practitioner. Dr. Bowden also provides attending physician services, providing residents with valuable continuity of care.
